A shopping outing can also equate to sightseeing with several villages surrounding the island’s harbors, when the location becomes as impressive as the shops. Both Harbour Town and Shelter Cove Harbour comprise delightful boutiques around their famous waterfronts, aligning the yacht basins. The most prominent shopping area on Hilton Head is the Mall at Shelter Cove which blends big-name department stores with many locally-owned shops, plus a food court with a selection of restaurant fronts ranging from Chinese to Italian and a few options for the sweet tooth-sometimes needed for a post-shopping energy boost.
