December 1 – December 31:
“The Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island” at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Regional, national and international artists were invited to submit pieces for the exhibition with 20 large-scale pieces selected to be on display. Annual Shrimpfest at The Salty Dog Café in South Beach Marina Village, 4 p.m.-close. Celebrate the local shrimp harvest with a choice of six special shrimp recipes at a great price. “A Burst of Color,” an exhibit of works by the 11-member Les Bonnes Artistes, is on display at the Hilton Head Branch Library. Paintings in a variety of media, all with a burst of color. All artwork is for sale. 11 Beach City Rd. (843) 689-5088.

December 1 – January 2:
Christmas Light Festival & Holiday Window Contest in the Harbour Town Yacht Basin. Stroll around the marina enjoying dozens of Christmas light displays, including the Harbour Town Lighthouse, and vote for your favorite original works of art created by local elementary school students on display in shop windows. The South Carolina Repertory Company presents “Oh Coward,“ a celebration of one of theatre’s greatest entertainers – Noel Coward. Broadway director and choreographer Josh Rhodes brings Coward’s effervescent music, satirical quips and witty repartee to life.
